Josh Basile, Founder and League President
Joshua Basile, in 2004 at the age of 18, suffered a severe spinal cord injury while on a family vacation in Delaware. His paralysis rendered him a C4-5 quadriplegic power wheelchair user paralyzed below his shoulders, but it did not stop him from pursuing his goals and dreams. His positive attitude and desire to help others motivated him to form the Determined2heal Foundation, SPINALpedia.com, and graduate magna cum laude from law school.
Josh is a practicing medical malpractice attorney, a nationally recognized disability advocate, an inventor, an avid golfer, and a proud father of two. He founded AdapTee Golf to open the door for all abilities to play and compete. -
Andrew Mitchell, Executive Director
Andrew Mitchell has worked supporting individuals with disabilities since 2008. He worked for two years with United Spinal's Pathways to Employment program, while completing his Master's Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. He has worked with Josh Basile's care-giving team since January 2020, and played an integral part in the development and testing of rules and equipment that would eventually become the foundation of AdapTee Golf.
Andrew is an avid golfer for whom the game of golf played a pivotal role in his own recovery from serious injury. He is committed to sharing golf's ability to improve and advance your life's goals through all that the game has to offer.
